EVERYBODY LOVES DUNDY!
WHEN
I WAS A CHILD ....
There was nothing more comforting than being able to snuggle
with my stuffed Dundy doll. Even as an adult, currently struggling with
an advanced stage of breast cancer, I still look to my happy, bright-eyed
Dundy for hope--but now it's of a different kind: I hope to bring comfort
to thousands of children and adults who are fighting threatening diseases,
displacement, abuse, fear, and sadness; and I hope that generous folks
like you will help me get more Dundies out there. What an incredible
feeling to be able to put Dundies in their hands as they wait for treatment
in children's hospitals, as they search for a safe home, or as they
find the healing that they need, not only across Texas, but across the
nation!

As a child learning
to talk, I couldn't quite say the name Humpty Dumpty.
All
I could manage to say was "Dundy," but I don't believe that
this was a total mistake!
My Dundy will never crack up! My Dundy is a cheerful hero, a buddy, a
friend...
My
Dundy doesn't sit around on a wall;
Because my Dundy has a great call,
For all the kindly women and all the gentle men
To soothe hurting folks back together again.
